There are only 50 pieces in the entire world, and one of them is on the wrist of Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola.
Pictures of Pep Guardiola during the Champions League meeting with Real Madrid on Tuesday have attracted attention.
The images of the Manchester City manager reveal an extremely expensive detail around his wrist.
The Spaniard is wearing a watch valued at around 1.1 million pounds. According to the Daily Mail, the watch is so exclusive that there are only 50 examples of it in the entire world.
The model is called RM27-01 and is designed by Richard Mille. It features an open design, which displays the mechanisms inside.
“It is one of the most exclusive watches you can buy with money,” writes the Daily Mail.
The watch was originally designed for tennis star Rafael Nadal.
Weighs 18.83 grams
Incidentally, Guardiola played with Nadal’s uncle, Miguel Angel Nadal, at Barcelona.
The watch is said to be the lightest mechanical watch ever made, weighing just 18.83 grams, including the strap. It is made of titanium, aluminum, and lithium.
Designer Richard Mille has stated that the watch is “a triumph of engineering and technology” and that it is one of the most “innovative constructions in recent times.”
The watch is also described as crucial for Rafael Nadal’s performance on the tennis court because it is so comfortable to wear.
