The German track star Alica Schmidt that has gotten known as the ‘world’s sexiest athlete’ has qualified for the 2024 Olympics.
Alica Schmidt, a German track athlete often referred to as the ‘world’s sexiest athlete’, secured her place at the 2024 Paris Olympics, three years after facing challenges in Tokyo.
Schmidt was part of the team that earned a spot in the mixed 4×400-meter relay at the World Athletics Relays Bahamas 24. She shared her excitement over this achievement on her Instagram Stories, as reported by the New York Post.
In one of her posts, she captioned it “From paradise to Paris.”
On Tuesday, Schmidt and her teammates took time to celebrate in Nassau. She mentioned in her Stories that they enjoyed swimming with pigs on the island.
Schmidt has a notable track record in European athletics. In 2017, she contributed to the German team’s silver medal win in the 4×400 relay at the European Athletics U20 Championships. She and her team also clinched a bronze at the 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships.
The team came in sixth at the 2022 European Championships. Additionally, they did not qualify at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
In 2021, she announced she was “taking a break” from track following her non-medal performance at the Tokyo Olympics.
Schmidt was recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2023 and commands a following of over 5 million on Instagram.
