Charles Leclerc forgot to close his intercom after talking to the Ferrari pit wall. Consequently, for a few seconds, the natural sounds from the cockpit could be heard.
In fact, it was the moment when the Monegasque driver attempted and succeeded in overtaking his teammate, Carlos Sainz.
What exactly can be heard? Panting, heavy breathing, and effort, just to steer the SF-24. Imagine, then, this difficulty for a driver over an average grand prix duration of one and a half hours!
That’s why it absolutely makes sense when some say that Formula 1 drivers are NOT just athletes. Because Formula 1 drivers are super athletes.
