The Swiss tennis player announced the presentation of this Amazon Prime Video documentary, which reviews his last twelve days before retiring at the 2022 Laver Cup.
Roger Federer will once again thrill tennis fans with the presentation of his new documentary, ‘Federer: The Last Twelve Days,’ which revisits the final 12 days of the Swiss tennis player’s professional career before he retired on September 23, 2022, at the Laver Cup after his doubles match with Rafa Nadal.
This documentary is directed by Asif Kapadia, who won the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2015 for ‘Amy,’ the film about the late British singer Amy Winehouse, and will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting June 20.
A trailer for the documentary has already been released, featuring scenes from his retirement announcement on September 15, 2022, the events leading up to it, and the emotional final match with Rafa Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup in London’s O2 Arena.
With this documentary, Federer will make many tear up again, remembering his farewell to the tennis courts and those twelve days in which the tennis legend definitively became, if he wasn’t already, one of the great icons in the history of sports.
