According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, doctors have recommended that the Italian not play in Paris to avoid aggravating his hip injury.
Jannik Sinner faces a serious dilemma at Roland Garros as he could be seeking his second Grand Slam title and the world number one spot, but it could come at a high cost.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sinner, who withdrew in Madrid and opted out of competing in Rome due to hip discomfort, is currently more likely not to play in Paris than to participate in Roland Garros.
The Italian newspaper reports that doctors have recommended more rest and relaxation for Sinner so that the hip discomfort does not become chronic, which is why the tennis player has been visiting the medical center of Juventus in Turin to continue rehabilitating from this pain.
Sinner and his team are expected to make the final decision on whether he will play at Roland Garros this week, although all indications are that he will not be in Paris.
Despite this, the Italian could still become number one after the Paris Grand Slam without playing if Novak Djokovic does not reach the final of the tournament.
