Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will face each other in two months, and both boxers are doing everything to keep the hype around the fight alive. Tyson’s latest remarks are a bit too much for Jutta Leerdam’s boyfriend.
Mike Tyson (57) announced that leading up to his fight with Jake Paul on July 20, he will stop smoking weed and having sex. It’s the latter that particularly impresses his opponent, who is 30 years his junior.
“He’s going to be very angry and on edge. That, uh, that’s pretty scary. He’s going to be like a caged animal, furious and completely charged,” Jake Paul said, according to Sportnieuws.
“I really couldn’t do that,” Paul states in his podcast BS w/ Jake Paul. “I don’t fight well when I’m angry; I need to be somewhat happy and have fun. Being relaxed, making some jokes, that’s when I’m at my best. Seriously, if I go two weeks without sex, holding myself back, I start having wet dreams. Then my body just wants to release it.”
One of his companions finds that odd, but Paul disagrees. “That just shows I’m normal. I’ve had sex four days before a fight before, and it went well.” According to Paul, he goes ‘totally crazy’ if he abstains from sex.
Paul and Leerdam spent the past few weeks vacationing in the United States and Central America. In between, there was plenty of training, but also time to enjoy the beach and good food. Leerdam has since returned to the Netherlands, where she will prepare for the new skating season without a team.
Not everyone is excited about the upcoming fight between Tyson and Paul. MMA icon Conor McGregor harshly criticized the idea, and former world champion Deontay Wilder sees nothing in it: “It’s going to look like a clown show.”
