Has the search for a coach at FC Bayern Munich finally come to an end? A lot of names have been linked with Bayern Munich, but the German giants still haven’t signed a new manager.
After the unexpected withdrawal of Ralf Rangnick, FC Bayern Munich is still on the hunt for a coach: things are now moving rapidly. First, Julen Lopetegui turned down the German champions, then suddenly on Tuesday, there was speculation about the current Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag.
Sporting director Max Eberl had even made contact with the Dutchman. However, according to BILD, this option is no longer being pursued by the German club.
Instead, another name is now at the top of the list: Hansi Flick. According to BILD, the former national coach is now a “hot candidate.”
With supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and executive board chairman Jan-Christian Dreesen, the 59-year-old has two major supporters in the club, and any differences with Uli Hoeneß are said to have been resolved long ago.
Hansi Flick was the coach of FC Bayern from 2019 to 2021, led the team to an incredible sextuple, and then “fled” to the German Football Association (DFB).
Most recently, the 59-year-old was a top candidate at FC Barcelona, where Xavi has now decided to continue. That means that he is without a job, but the question is whether he would like to take over the reins in Munich.
