Victor Osimhen To Turn Down PSG in Favor of Premier League Transfer

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen reportedly prefers a transfer to the Premier League and is prepared to decline an offer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea recently reached out to explore the potential for a deal involving Osimhen, inquiring whether Napoli might be interested in a trade that includes cash, Romelu Lukaku, and a younger player.

Subsequently, it has been reported that Napoli is keen on acquiring the Belgian this summer.

Gianluca di Marzio has informed Sky Italia (via CN24) that Osimhen prefers to wait for Premier League teams to show interest rather than move to PSG.

Having previously played in France with Lille, Osimhen is not particularly thrilled by the prospect of joining PSG. Instead, Arsenal and Chelsea are seen as potential Premier League suitors.

Meanwhile, discussions are ongoing between Napoli and Chelsea about a transaction that could see Osimhen and Lukaku swap places.

Di Marzio also mentioned that Osimhen, who enjoys England and often visits to spend time with friends, is less likely to opt for a move to PSG at this juncture.

How much does Osimhen cost?

It won’t be cheap for the club that manages to secure Osimhen’s signature, as Napoli is not willing to sell him at just any price. Reports indicate that he has a release clause of €120 million, and Napoli refuses to go below this price.

It is highly likely that Chelsea is working on an alternative arrangement where they would send one or more players to the Italian club. This strategy could potentially reduce his price while also fitting him into their budget.

Arsenal is also said to still be in the running for Osimhen, but the London club reportedly does not want to pay the €120 million that Napoli is demanding for him. A transfer to The Gunners would therefore depend on whether the Serie A club decides to lower his price.
