Manchester United has decided to part ways with four players this summer. Reportedly, there is no chance that they will be allowed to continue with the English club.

Manchester United is facing a significant transfer window this summer, and plans are already being drawn up, according to Football Insider.

The club’s new partial owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is expected to make several drastic changes, and along with newly appointed Jason Wilcox, he reportedly wants to lower the average age of the first-team squad.

Recently, it was reported that all but three United players were for sale, and now more concrete details are emerging. Raphaël Varane, Casemiro, Jonny Evans, and Christian Eriksen are all set to leave the club this summer.

Both Varane and Evans have contracts expiring next month, which will not be renewed, while Casemiro and Eriksen may need to be bought out of their contracts in the worst case.

Instead, Manchester United’s management wants to build a core around the young trio of Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Rasmus Højlund.

31-year-old Varane has struggled with numerous injuries this season, only making 24 starts. 32-year-old Casemiro has recently been ridiculed for his performances, and Sky Sports expert Jamie Carragher believes he should consider moving to either MLS or the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Evans was brought in as an emergency backup in the summer of 2023, and it is not expected that his contract will be extended. Christian Eriksen, who joined the club on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, is now just a reserve for the club.

Erik ten Hag’s team is currently eighth in the Premier League after a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
