Jamie Carragher Has Clear Message for United Star: It’s Time to Leave for MLS or Saudi Arabia

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has issued a clear call to one of Manchester United’s biggest stars, suggesting he should find a club in MLS or Saudi Arabia after this season.

Manchester United is on track for the club’s worst finish in Premier League history. On Monday evening, they lost 0-4 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Several Manchester United players received poor ratings in the media, including Brazilian Casemiro.

Like many in the squad, the Brazilian midfielder has not had the best season, which has also been marred by an injury.

Casemiro still has a few years left on his contract, but according to Jamie Carragher, he should pack his bags this summer and realize that he no longer has the level to play in the Premier League or any other top league.

“I said during the break that he (Erik ten Hag, ed.) should take Casemiro out. I know he has kids sitting on the bench, but I seriously think that Casemiro should know himself as an experienced player well enough to realize that he might only have two or three top-level games left,” Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports.

“The next two league matches and the FA Cup final, and he should think: ‘Now I need to go to MLS or Saudi Arabia.’ I’m completely serious.”

“His agents and the team behind him should tell him that it’s time to stop. Right now, we’re watching one of the best in modern times, who has dominated in Europe. He has been much better than me and achieved much more.”

“But there’s a saying in football that I’ll always remember: ‘Leave football before football leaves you.’ Football has left him, and he needs to call it a day.”
