Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa have officially announced their breakup.
The two tennis players had a passionate relationship, but in recent months there were rumors that their relationship was no longer the same.
The confirmation came from Paula Badosa, who shared the news on social media.
“After much reflection and all the moments we shared together, Stefanos and I have parted ways as friends. Our journey was filled with love. We remain friends who have immense respect for each other, but we have decided to continue on our separate paths,” the tennis player shared, according to the media Gong.
According to the post on social media, their relationship started during the Roland Garros tournament in 2023 when she appeared in Tsitsipas’ box.
“We are grateful for the support of our friends, families, and everyone who was part of our story. We are opening a new chapter in our lives and wish each other only the best. We ask you to respect our privacy and thank you for your understanding and respect,” Badosa wrote.
The relationship between the Spanish and Greek tennis players became known last May.
Neither Badosa nor Tsitsipas have given a reason for their breakup. Therefore, it is unknown what led the famous couple to decide to end their relationship.
Recently, Tsitsipas has revitalized his career, showcasing his best form on clay courts. On the other hand, Badosa has suffered another injury and is consequently forced to sit out.
