Ryan Garcia Challenges Conor McGregor to a Bare-Knuckle Bout Following Threats

Ryan Garcia has posted on X, issuing a challenge to Conor McGregor for a bare-knuckle match following McGregor’s earlier threat.

Garcia’s recent drug tests, which came back positive for the prohibited substance ostarine on the eve and day of his unexpected victory over Devin Haney, have ignited controversy in the boxing community. Both Haney and his father, Bill, have publicly expressed their dismay at the findings.

The news also provoked a strong reaction from UFC icon McGregor, who expressed his disgust and warned Garcia to straighten up or face consequences.

Unperturbed by McGregor’s harsh words, Garcia took to social media to seemingly challenge him to a fight, brushing off the threat with defiance.

“If I see Connor mcgregor I’m going to break your weak a** ankle You ran from being tested bc you were on Roids Roadhouse or ROIDRAGE FUDGE CONNOR CACA BRAIN,” he wrote in a post on X.

According to talkSPORT, he later added: “Bare knuckle Let’s f****** go CONNOR Winner gets your trash a** whiskey brand.”

In another provocative post, Garcia shared a celebratory image from his victory over Haney next to a photo of McGregor with a braced leg following his 2021 defeat to Dustin Poirier.

Garcia achieved a unanimous decision victory over Haney on April 20, knocking him down three times during the match. However, the legitimacy of his win is under scrutiny after he tested positive in two VADA-administered drug tests.

Ostarine, the substance found in Garcia’s tests, is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) known for its benefits in increasing muscle mass, reducing fat, and enhancing stamina, all of which can improve athletic performance.

The findings from these drug tests are now subject to review by the New York Commission, which has the authority to potentially change the fight’s outcome to a no-contest.
