Liverpool’s Showing Interest But Victor Osimhen Has Already Made Summer Transfer ‘Plan’

Liverpool is reportedly interested in Napoli’s sharpshooter Victor Osimhen. The forward has revealed his transfer strategy as he prepares for a summer likely to see significant interest in his services.

Liverpool may be considering adding a new striker to their squad this summer. Under the incoming coach Arne Slot, the team already boasts significant talent but faces several uncertainties.

Central to their strategy could be the acquisition of Victor Osimhen as a solution to Darwin Núñez’s ongoing challenges with finishing. Although Liverpool has consistently created scoring opportunities this season, their failure to capitalize on these chances likely cost Jürgen Klopp a shot at the Premier League title.

At the same time, Luis Díaz has been rumored to be the target of a lucrative transfer. While Mohamed Salah is expected to remain at the club for at least another season, a substantial offer from Saudi Arabia could prompt Liverpool to reconsider.

If either player departs, the likelihood of Liverpool pursuing a high-profile player like Osimhen might increase. According to Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool is interested in the Napoli striker, who is also on the radar of PSG, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

Gazzetta dello Sport has previously reported that Osimhen prefers a move to the Premier League. He is focused on his professional growth and desires to compete in the top European tournaments. Given these preferences, Arsenal might be the only other club that could rival Liverpool’s interest.

What does Osimhen himself have in mind for his summer transfer? He recently shared his thoughts on this matter with CBS Sports.

“I already made up my mind,” claimed Osimhen, according to Liverpool.com. “I already have my plan, I know what I want to do, the next step I want to take.

“I think 60 per cent of the people mention the rumors about me linked with the Premier League. The Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world. I want to finish the season with Napoli strong then come up with the decision I’ve already made.”
