After Jadon Sancho’s standout display in Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League victory against PSG, Piers Morgan has criticized Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Piers Morgan has launched another critique of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, arguing that he struggles to manage elite talent effectively.

Morgan has consistently targeted Ten Hag since a contentious 2022 interview with Cristiano Ronaldo, in which Ronaldo charged the manager with disrespect and an effort to push him out of the club.

Following the interview, Ronaldo and Manchester United parted ways by mutual agreement, and Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where he has netted 52 goals in 58 matches.

Jadon Sancho also experienced a rift with Ten Hag after the manager stated that Sancho was dropped from a game against Arsenal due to poor training performance, a claim Sancho publicly disputed, accusing Ten Hag of dishonesty.

Consequently, Sancho was sidelined and eventually moved back to Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal in January, following his refusal to apologize to Ten Hag. Since returning to Dortmund, Sancho appears to be regaining his top form, evidenced by his outstanding performance in their 1-0 Champions League semi-final victory over PSG.

In that match, Sancho set a record for the most dribbles by an English player in a Champions League game with 12, a feat not surpassed in a semi-final since Lionel Messi in 2008. Reacting to Sancho’s display, Morgan used social media to criticize Ten Hag’s handling of the situation.

“The fact that Ronaldo and now Sancho are playing brilliantly away from United, and Rashford is struggling while still with them, suggests the real problem at the club isn’t ‘difficult’ world class players but a manager who doesn’t know how to handle them,” he wrote, according to Mirror.
