Although he has been approached by several Saudi clubs, Mohamed Salah is not considering leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. All parties involved believe that the player wishes to stay for another season at Anfield.
Just a few days ago, a report by talkSPORT mentioned the desire of Al-Ittihad to secure the services of Mohamed Salah.
The media outlet claimed that the Saudi team is ready to invest a whopping 80 million euros to sign the talented and experienced Egyptian forward.
Although there have been previous mentions of the player’s interest in moving to the Middle East, and despite a recent clash with Jürgen Klopp last weekend, a new report published by The Athletic points in a completely opposite direction.
According to journalist David Ornstein, there is no indication that the forward will change teams this summer.
Few doubts about his future
It appears that the Reds are completely calm about the situation, as they have observed no signs that the player wishes to pack his bags.
Likewise, in Saudi Arabia, there is a belief that Salah intends to stay in the UK for at least one more season.
However, what remains unclear is whether the North African will renew his contract. His current contract expires in June 2025, and as of now, there are no negotiations underway to extend it.
To date, Salah has played a total of 346 official matches for Liverpool, scoring 210 goals and providing 88 assists.
He has been a very important player for the English club over the past few years. Therefore, it’s very likely that they greatly appreciate not having to say goodbye to him this summer.
Instead, everything suggests that they will enjoy his contributions for another season. Whether Salah decides to accept an offer from a Saudi Arabian club after that is difficult to predict.
