Carlo Ancelotti’s announcement at Anoeta about the future of Arda Güler followed a great performance by the Turkish player in Real Madrid’s victory.

Arda Güler scored the decisive goal, was named MVP, and displayed some quality touches that put behind a season full of disappointments to date. He is beginning to convince everyone.

“I think everyone played well. Today, Arda, Fran García… they showed good attitude, commitment. Arda scored a goal, and he is going to be a very important player for us in the future. He stays here next year,” Ancelotti said, according to Fichajes, and crushed the rumours about a transfer.

“He has extraordinary quality. He has worked very well, he could have played earlier because he is training very well, but he is very young and will gradually have his moment to shine.”

Unexpectedly and candidly, Carlo Ancelotti made it clear in the press room last night that he expects to count on Arda Güler for the next season at Real Madrid.

This statement dispels any rumors at once, as the club will retain the young Turk who secured three points with his goal against Real Sociedad.

A bright future

He has only scored 2 goals in 7 matches this season (2 as a starter). The club has been cautious with him due to injuries in the early part of the season, but what has been seen in training and the flashes of brilliance in his few appearances have convinced the entire organization that he is a gem with a promising future that needs to be well cared for.

That is why the decision was made for him to continue next season, and in a challenging environment, with limited minutes and considerable rotation, he already demonstrated moments of high quality, such as exquisite control in midfield and a remarkable calmness in scoring for his age.

“I am at the best club in the world and I am super happy. I am not only working physically but also mentally. I am waiting patiently, my mentality is to keep improving. I want to thank Ancelotti for the opportunity,” the player stated after the match.
