Recently, five teams have shown interest in signing Rodrygo. Despite the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappe, the forward has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid.
“I love this club too much. I hope my future is always here,” Rodrygo said, according to Fichajes, after the last Clásico, and was very clear when asked about his future.
He reiterated that he does not consider any other option than to continue being linked to Real Madrid, with whom he also has a contract until June 2028.
Therefore, it is not surprising that, as reported by OK Diario, the forward has said no to the possibility of joining any of the five teams that have recently shown interest in signing him.
This group includes Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Unafraid of competition
All these clubs intended to take advantage of Kylian Mbappe’s imminent arrival at Santiago Bernabeu to secure the services of the Brazilian.
Even though the Frenchman will significantly complicate the fight for a starting position, the Osasco native is not afraid of competition and is more than willing to fight to maintain his current status.
However, the scenario could change by 2025. Real Madrid will start the upcoming season with Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Endrick, Brahim Diaz, and the aforementioned Mbappe and Rodrygo, and it seems clear that several of them will be relegated to a secondary role.
“At the end of the season, everything will be assessed and who has made the least merits to continue, if anyone has a great offer, or simply, who lacks minutes, since some, obviously, will play less than others,” he said, according to Fichajes.
“Everyone is in, at least for a year. Then, the club will take stock and see if this super attack can be maintained over time or if they need to cut back without obviously weakening the squad.”
