Manchester City broke the British transfer record when the club signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in 2021.

Manchester City broke the British transfer record when they signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in 2021 for a staggering €117 million. However, his time at the club may soon be coming to an end.

This is the report from Football Insider.

The club’s current manager, Pep Guardiola, is not entirely convinced by the winger, and he may be sold this summer despite having started in the majority of the club’s significant matches this season.

No final decision has been made regarding Grealish’s future, but internally, the 28-year-old Englishman is considered a player who could be transferred and bring in a substantial sum to fund other purchases.

This season, he has made a total of 33 appearances but started just nine times in the Premier League.

However, Guardiola has trusted him enough to start him in both Champions League quarterfinal matches against Real Madrid and in the FA Cup semi final against Chelsea last Saturday.

After a 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the end of March, Grealish and Guardiola were seen arguing, where the Spanish manager clearly did not seem pleased with the 29 minutes Grealish played.

Manchester City is currently in third place in the Premier League but has a game in hand compared to Liverpool and Arsenal, both just one point ahead as the second and first respectively.
