The coach states that they are facing the most important game of the season.

Xavi has confirmed that the controversy sparked by Gündogan’s comments is now completely resolved and emphasized that there was no ill intent.

“It’s resolved. I didn’t see a problem anymore, but by talking, people understand each other and it has been sorted out,” he said, according to Marca.

“When there’s no ill intent, there’s no problem. All settled.”

Xavi also commented on the fact that they were eliminated from the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain.

It was their last chance to win a trophy this season, as everything indicates that Real Madrid will end up winning La Liga.

“That’s why the frustration; I also make mistakes when I get sent off. These are tense situations. We don’t minimize mistakes, and they cost us dearly. It’s a shame because it was a golden opportunity. We let it slip through our fingers,” he said.

The Spanish coach also acknowledged that there have been several problems with the defense this season. Therefore, it has been a focus for him and his coaching staff recently.

Unfortunately, it proved not to be enough to keep the ball out of the net against Real Madrid, to whom they most recently lost 3-2.

“Yes. We’ve had matches where we were down to 10 men, like against Atlético and Alavés, and we defended very well, but the other day we weren’t good. We don’t blame anyone, these are our mistakes. Surely we will learn from this,” Xavi said.
