Manchester United star Casemiro has praised Kylian Mbappe to the skies, even comparing him to one of the biggest stars in history.
Having been at Manchester United for two seasons now, Casemiro (32 years old) struggles to return to his previous level of performance in England.
The Brazilian, who played for Real Madrid for nearly ten years (2013-2022), won everything with the Casa Blanca, including five Champions League titles.
When asked about Kylian Mbappe joining his former club, Casemiro was full of praise for the French player.
“He is one of the best at the moment, if not the best. Very fast, intelligent… He has a stride, he’s a beast. He reminds me a lot of Cristiano. He’s on the field, but he’s a constant threat in front of the goal. Cristiano was like that, he had a nose for goals,” he said in an interview with Marca.
“You have to worry because he’s going to score. Cris wasn’t good, but we knew he would score. These are star players and Mbappe has that. Against Barca the other day, he didn’t play well, but he ends up leaving with two goals.”
It has not yet been confirmed, but there is a clear expectation that the French star will transfer to Real Madrid this summer.
This move would give him the opportunity to follow in Cristiano Ronaldo’s footsteps, as it was at the Spanish club where he truly cemented his status as one of the greatest.
