However, at the moment of Fermín’s goal, which made the score 1-2, the situation was quite different. Barça was brought within five points and the title race was reopened.
The Barcelona player went to the fence at the north end of Santiago Bernabéu to celebrate his goal. There, on the advertising board, he spread his arms in a gesture reminiscent of Jude Bellingham’s celebration.
This gesture, once the match was over, became a subject of mockery for a part of Real Madrid’s Twitter fanbase. “He thought he was Jude Bellingham,” tweeted a user. The tweet would not have gone further if it hadn’t been for Vinicius Junior’s reaction.
The Real Madrid forward responded to the message with a smiley face emoji. His reaction amplified the reach of the tweet, as Vinicius’ response began to circulate across the social network.
