Will Champions League Triumph Change Kylian Mbappe’s Future?

After scoring a brace in the match that secured Paris Saint-Germain’s passage to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey, the Frenchman Kylian Mbappe made it clear that, regardless of what happens in the tournament, he will not change his decision to leave the club.

“I am proud to have been Parisian from day one. There have been great moments and bad ones that have shaped the team. It’s a pride to represent this great club, the club of the capital of my country. It’s something special,” Kylian Mbappe said, according to Foot Mercato.

At the end of the match against FC Barcelona, which ended with a 1-4 victory, the Frenchman was euphoric about having significantly contributed to Paris Saint-Germain’s qualification for the Champions League semi finals.

Although his words seem to convey a strong commitment to the capital city’s club, the truth is that the forward remains firm in his idea of leaving Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

In fact, during the same conversation with Actu Foot, the player made it clear that what happens in the top continental tournament will not change his decision to move on. “No, no, no…” he said bluntly when questioned about it.

Real Madrid is the most likely destination

From a distance, Real Madrid watches the succession of events with tremendous satisfaction. Unlike in 2022, the striker has no intention of backing down, so if nothing goes wrong, he will definitely land in the capital of Spain in a few weeks.

Moreover, he will do so after having eliminated the great rivals of the Blancos in the Champions League.

For now, Mbappe does not seem to be in a hurry to confirm his arrival at Santiago Bernabeu. Indeed, according to his statements, it seems he will not speak out until PSG has exhausted its chances of lifting La Orejona.

“My dream is to win the Champions League with PSG, and we will do everything possible to reach the final. We are going to try to go to Wembley,” he added.
