Numerous rumors have circulated about Victor Osimhen’s future. Despite these speculations, there remains a consensus on where he will continue his career.
Transfer specialist Matteo Moretto has clarified to Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing that, contrary to Italian media speculations linking Victor Osimhen with PSG as a potential successor to Kylian Mbappé, the Premier League is more likely to be the Napoli striker’s next move.
Despite rumors of a shift to PSG, Moretto emphasizes that he has not identified PSG as a prospective destination for Osimhen, noting that PSG plans to keep Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos in their lineup.
Instead, Moretto points out that clubs from the Premier League are showing significant interest in Osimhen, who is set to be a hot topic in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Napoli is open to selling the Nigerian forward, who has a release clause estimated between €120m and €130m, making the Premier League his probable future home.
Several Premier League clubs are interested in him, with Chelsea reportedly eager to bring him to the English league this summer.
For this transfer to happen, they would need to meet his release clause. Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has been clear that the club will not lower his price.
There have also been reports of Arsenal considering him as a potential signing for the upcoming summer transfer window. Similarly, Manchester United had shown interest but ultimately signed Danish player Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.
