The sought-after Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is on the radar of several major clubs, but now it seems that Paris Saint-Germain is ready to activate his release clause.

In the past season, Victor Osimhen was outstanding for Napoli, while this season has been more mixed.

Nevertheless, the Nigerian remains highly sought after, with clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain mentioned as interested. Thus, there is still a clear expectation that the Nigerian star will be sold this summer.

Now, reports suggest that the latter club is ready to trigger Osimhen’s release clause, according to Corriere dello Sport. According to the Italian outlet, PSG is willing to activate the striker’s hefty release clause this summer, reportedly amounting to around 130 million euros.

This season, Victor Osimhen has made 25 appearances for Napoli, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists.

The 25-year-old Nigerian has a contract with the Italian powerhouse that runs until the summer of 2026.

However, there isn’t much indication that he will complete this contract. While they are happy to have him in Napoli, they do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer.

For this reason, the Italian club is prepared to sell him this summer. If it turns out that Paris Saint-Germain is ready to pay his release clause, there is nothing they can do. It would mean that the French club can acquire him without having to negotiate with Napoli.
