Serena Williams embarrassed Jannik Sinner after his victory over Daniil Medvedev. The tennis legend gave a compliment to the Italian, who replied visibly moved.

Serena Williams embarrassed Jannik Sinner after his victory over Daniil Medvedev at the ATP Miami, which allowed the Italian tennis player to reach the final of the tournament.

The Italian player delivered a sensational performance, showing great approach and making very few mistakes, thrilling the Miami audience and securing a spot in the final.

The Italian displayed a fabulous performance under the watchful eyes of Serena Williams, who after the match met Sinner and praised him, saying: “I wish I had a forehand like that,” to which Jannik, visibly moved, responded: “Please don’t say that.”

Williams, one of the greatest tennis players of all time, continued her compliments to the Italian player: “No, seriously, the racket speed, the power… you’re impressive.”

Sinner and Serena Williams met after Jannik’s emphatic win against Medvedev, and the video published by Tennis TV on social media immediately went viral.

Serena, who was the world number one for 319 weeks, including 186 consecutive weeks, showered Sinner with compliments, and the Italian responded with a mix of happiness and emotion: “Congratulations to you, you’ve earned the final.”

Everyone noticed the presence of Williams because as soon as the big screen showed her, everyone in the stadium stood up and a long round of applause followed.

The former American tennis player lives in Miami and has won the ATP tournament in Florida eight times during her career. Serena did not want to miss the semifinals and, after watching the match between Sinner and Medvedev, she also enjoyed Dimitrov’s victory over Zverev.
