Since the 90s, when he was still emerging as a talent on the fields, Ronaldo has been sponsored by the sportswear brand. His contract with Nike is almost unique, sharing similar privileges only with another sports legend, Michael Jordan.
As a three-time world player of the year and two-time World Cup champion, Ronaldo receives a phenomenal monthly amount from Nike. It is estimated that the amount exceeds $200.000, according to Brazilian outlet Coluna Financeira.
This robust partnership not only enhances Ronaldo’s status as one of the greatest athletes in history but also solidifies his role as one of the strongest names in the American company.
Besides his achievements on the fields, Ronaldo also aims to bring Nike to Cruzeiro. As the manager of the club’s SAF, holding 70% of the shares, he has ambitious plans for the Mineiro team. However, this will only be possible after the current contract with Adidas ends, which is scheduled for the end of 2025.
