Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has shared a surprising message about Kylian Mbappe, who has recently been rumored for Real Madrid.
While everything seems to indicate that Kylian Mbappé will sign with Real Madrid this summer, Luis Enrique does not see the situation in the same light.
On the eve of the clash against Marseille, the Spanish coach admitted that he still believes that there is a chance the Parisian star will continue his journey in the capital at the end of the season. A month and a half after announcing his departure to the club, it indeed seems complicated to see Mbappé extend his stay in Paris.
However, Enrique still sees a possibility for this option to become a reality. To achieve this, it’s necessary to win everything.
“I always hope that Kylian changes his mind. He hasn’t said anything so far, he can change his opinion. Let’s imagine we win all four titles this season and Kylian Mbappé makes his choice at the last moment. That his place is in Paris. Why not? We’ll see,” he said, according to So Foot.
If the limited playing time given to the player from Bondy in the league since mid-February has raised questions, Enrique therefore does not really want to venture into the unknown next year.
Considering the performance of the captain of the French team, that’s understandable, but one can legitimately think that this statement once again resembles a communication move by the former Barcelona coach. If Mbappé extends his contract, Enrique will certainly have played a big role in it.
