Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer, but the Italian club have realized that they have to reduce the price.
Despite previous claims that striker Victor Osimhen was not on the market, Il Mattino, an Italian publication, has reported that Napoli is now open to lowering their €130m price tag for their most valuable player.
Osimhen has consistently made headlines with rumors of a potential departure from Italy, positioning him as one of Europe’s most coveted strikers.
In January, Manchester United, a heavyweight in the English Premier League, was reported to have prepared a €110m bid, aiming to secure the Nigerian international in the upcoming transfer window.
Recently, Chelsea and Arsenal were also rumored to be interested in the Napoli striker, considering a €90m bid.
Both Spanish and French football powerhouses, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, have shown interest in acquiring the player.
“The Blues are interested in Napoli star Osimhen and according to Il Mattino they are ready to place a €90m bid at the end of the season,” Football Italia wrote.
“Arsenal and PSG are also interested in the Nigeria international and are willing to match the Blues’ offer. According to Il Mattino, Napoli could sell Osimhen for less than his release clause in the region of €130m.”
Despite missing a significant part of the 2023/24 season due to injuries and his participation with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the striker still impresses with 14 goal involvements (11 goals and three assists) in 17 matches in Italy’s premier league.
