Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal have all inquired about the possibility of acquiring Real Madrid’s standout player, Rodrygo.
In 2019, the 23-year-old made his move to Los Blancos in a transaction worth €40 million, joining forces with fellow Brazilian star Vinicius Jr to create a formidable offensive lineup in Madrid.
In November of the previous year, the winger committed to a new extended contract, securing his stay at the club until 2028. Nevertheless, the anticipated transfer of Kylian Mbappe this summer has cast shadows on his enduring role at the club.
Mbappe is set to depart Paris Saint-Germain when the season concludes and is rumored to have settled on a move to the Spanish powerhouse, though no official announcement has been made.
If Mbappe does transfer to Real, he won’t be the only new forward arriving; Endrick, a highly-regarded Brazilian prospect, is also set to join. Real Madrid finalized an agreement for Endrick in December 2022, and he is slated to officially become part of the team in July, upon turning 18.
This development has sparked interest from several Premier League teams in Rodrygo, with reports from Sport indicating that both Manchester clubs, as well as Arsenal and Liverpool, have made inquiries about his availability.
Real Madrid, however, has rebuffed this interest, deeming the Brazilian “non-transferable.” The English clubs see the pursuit of Rodrygo as virtually unattainable unless he seeks a transfer himself.
Rodrygo’s agents maintain that he has no intention of leaving Madrid, looking forward to the inclusion of Endrick and Mbappe to the squad. Aware that their arrivals might reduce his chances as a starter, he remains optimistic about his and the club’s future, as mentioned in the report.
