Bayer Leverkusen defeated Freiburg away and once again leads the Bundesliga by ten points ahead of Bayern Munich.

Bayer Leverkusen has yet to lose a football match this season. On Sunday, they secured a 3-2 victory away against Freiburg.

It was the team’s seventh consecutive league win, and in 26 rounds, they have achieved 22 wins and 4 draws.

Leverkusen leads the Bundesliga with 70 points, now ten points ahead of second place Bayern Munich, who have won the championship for the last 11 seasons.

Leverkusen’s wave of success was highlighted just 85 seconds into the game.

The visiting team quickly set up an attack, and Florian Wirtz curled the ball into the corner of the goal from the edge of the box to make it 1-0.

Freiburg, who are ninth in the league, struck back in the tenth minute. Japanese player Ritsu Doan found a shooting opportunity with a move into the box and leveled the score with a low shot.

Just before halftime, the leading team took the lead again. In an attempt to clear an effort, Freiburg’s goalkeeper Noah Atubolu played the ball right at the feet of an opponent, and seconds later, Czech player Adam Hlozek scored to make it 2-1.

Seven minutes after the break, Leverkusen’s counter-attacking machinery struck again. Another Czech, Patrik Schick, received a cross and his shot hit both posts before going in.

The match became tense again with 12 minutes left, when Yannik Keitel managed to reduce the score to 2-3 in two attempts, but the home team couldn’t get any closer to earning a point.
