Conor McGregor has changed his stance and does not rule out accepting a fight against the YouTube star in the future.
Conor McGregor has revisited the idea of a matchup with KSI, reversing his earlier stance of disinterest in a bout against the YouTuber who has transitioned into boxing.
Following Anthony Joshua’s triumph over Robert Helenius at London’s O2 Arena in August 2023, McGregor openly challenged the Londoner to a bare-knuckle fight.
Both McGregor and KSI were present at the event, with the ex-UFC titleholder making a dramatic entrance into the ring and stating:
“I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So, if he wants to get in here, I’ll give him a final yoke, bare-knuckle if you want,” he said, according to Daily Mail.
McGregor has previously dismissed the idea of being interested in a fight against a YouTube star.
KSI isn’t the only name that has come up in this context. Among others, Tommy Fury, the younger brother of world champion Tyson Fury, has also challenged him.
Furthermore, Jake Paul has made it clear that he is very interested in a fight against McGregor. However, the Irish MMA star has rejected this, indicating that there are no plans for such a fight in the near future.
McGregor has not fought since he broke his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021. There have been many rumors about potential fights, but so far, nothing official has been announced.
