Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski reveals he asked Cristiano Ronaldo for a special favor. The two stars were previously teammates at Serie A club Juventus.
Dejan Kulusevski, now with Tottenham, had the opportunity to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus during the 2020/2021 season.
After their time together, Ronaldo departed for Manchester United in the summer of 2021, where he stayed for a season.
Kulusevski recently shared his experiences of sharing the pitch with one of football’s legends, expressing immense respect and admiration for Ronaldo.
The Swedish midfielder, aged 23, reminisced about their collaboration and disclosed the unique request he made of his esteemed former teammate.
“I gotta be honest, I have never been the type to ask teammates for favors, but I asked Cristiano to sign his shirt, and I gave it to my mother,” Kulusevski wrote on Players Tribune, according to TalkSport.
“Five years earlier we had been talking about me moving back to Sweden, maybe get a normal job. Now I was playing with one of the greatest of all time. Dreams do come true for normal people.”
Nearly four years after their paths diverged from Juventus, Dejan Kulusevski made the move to Tottenham, and Cristiano Ronaldo transitioned to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia in 2022.
Ronaldo, celebrated as one of football’s all-time greats, has been lauded for his dedication and performance on the field. Kulusevski has openly expressed his admiration for Ronaldo’s professional dedication, acknowledging the impressive work ethic of the Portuguese superstar.
