The Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund participated in a special interview that resulted in a man receiving multiple death threats.
Mark Goldbridge, the proprietor of The United Stand, has been the target of death threats after the platform conducted an interview with Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the YouTube channel has faced backlash from specific factions for its critical commentary on certain players from the Red Devils.
Following the conversation with Hojlund, Goldbridge was threatened with death and cautioned about potential difficulties during his next visit to Old Trafford.
“I totally understand that football is a passionate and divisive sport, and that people are free to decide and have an opinion on what content they consume. However, the pile-on some of our staff were subject to over the weekend was incredibly sad to witness. To be threatening people’s lives yet again evidences the vile pack mentality that exists on social media,” he said, according to Express.
The Greater Manchester Police has initiated a probe into the situation, as indicated in their announcement: “Officers have spoken with the victim and relevant information has been passed over to the police. Enquiries are ongoing at this stage.”
Rasmus Hojlund transferred to Manchester United in the previous summer, with the transfer valued at approximately €73.9 million. During his tenure with the Red Devils, he has netted 13 goals and provided two assists in 30 matches across all competitions.
