WWE and YouTube star Logan Paul has challenged one of the greatest NBA stars of all time to a match at WWE SummerSlam.
Logan Paul, the renowned social media influencer and WWE United States Champion, threw down the gauntlet to basketball icon LeBron James, proposing a showdown at WWE’s SummerSlam in Cleveland.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Paul announced the prestigious wrestling event’s return to Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 3 and seized the opportunity to call out James, a fellow Cleveland native.
Although Paul has been a visible figure in WWE since 2022, James has yet to step into the wrestling ring in any formal role.
Highlighting his wish list for the event, Paul named various celebrities from Cleveland, including NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, but left out whether Travis Kelce’s partner, Taylor Swift, would be invited.
The conversation also floated the possibility of appearances by Logan’s brother and boxer Jake Paul, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and comedian Dave Chappelle.
“I want it to be one of the biggest events Cleveland has ever seen and hopefully I get an opponent who I can bring the house down with,” Paul said.
“LeBron!” Paul’s close friend Mike Majlak said.
“I’m probably going to be wrestling LeBron,” Paul added.
Paul is no stranger to performing in massive venues, having previously competed in WWE’s WrestleMania, the only event that eclipses SummerSlam in stature within the WWE calendar.
SummerSlam stands as one of the “Big Four” events for the company, alongside Survivor Series and Royal Rumble, marking it as a pivotal highlight of WWE’s annual lineup.
