A well-known French social media personality has stated that Kylian Mbappe has initiated a “legal action” against him for using the footballer’s name for one of his kebab creations.
Reported by RMC Sport, Mohamed Henni, who runs a kebab outlet and is a fan of PSG’s rival team Marseille, received a notice from Mbappe’s legal representative, Delphine Verheyden.
He has been given a deadline of one week to alter the name of his kebab to prevent any legal consequences. Henni has publicly expressed his discontent with this situation.
The influencer shared the letter on social media, which reads: “Mr. Henni uses Kylian Mbappe’s name for commercial and promotional ends, without having obtaining explicit prior consent.”
In response, Henni wrote: “A player of this level has the time to think about me. He [Mbappe] is using his time and money to attack me. I am not hurting anyone, I am a humourist. Are you not embarrassed? Launching a legal complaint for absolutely nothing?”
What unfolds in the coming week regarding the name change of the Mbappe-themed kebab remains uncertain. Amidst this unusual controversy, the 25-year-old PSG striker is concentrating on his upcoming matches, including a French Cup quarter-final clash with Nice on Wednesday.
Mbappe is not only drawing attention because of his legal actions. There are also many rumors about his future as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer.
Reports suggest he is close to a move to Real Madrid. The French winger has been on the verge of switching to the Spanish club several times, but this time it seems to become a reality.
