The team is said to be targeting three technicians from Red Bull.
Ferrari could take advantage of the current chaos at Red Bull to poach several technicians from the Austrian team.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Ferrari is keeping an eye on the current situation at Red Bull amid rumors of possible departures of Christian Horner, Helmut Marko, and even Max Verstappen.
The report indicates that Ferrari is specifically interested in three members of Red Bull: David Morgan, responsible for Red Bull’s track aerodynamic development, performance chief Ben Waterhouse, and Alessandro Germani, current head of aerodynamic development.
Ferrari is determined not only to have a figure of Lewis Hamilton’s caliber but also to do everything possible to improve its technical team for the 2025 season, when they finally aim to surpass Red Bull.
Ferrari already tried to ‘steal’ from Red Bull
According to reports from Gazzetta itself, in previous years Ferrari had attempted to secure the services of Red Bull’s French technical director Pierre Waché and head of aerodynamics Enrico Balbo, but failed in their attempt.
Upon learning of Ferrari’s interest, Red Bull did everything and ended up safeguarding Waché and Balbo.
Mercedes dreams of Verstappen
On the other hand, Toto Wolff, CEO of Mercedes, spoke about the team’s interest in acquiring the services of Max Verstappen, who could leave Red Bull following recent rumors.
“I would love to have him (Max Verstappen at Mercedes), but first we have to fix our car. I think we owe it to our drivers, George and Lewis, to improve the car and give them good equipment before dreaming about the future next year,” Toto Wolff assured F1.
