The German star coach could start a new job this summer, where he will be leaving Liverpool.
After nine intense years, Jürgen Klopp is set to step down as Liverpool FC’s coach in June.
As the German star coach contends for three titles with the Reds, speculation about the 56-year-old’s future has already begun.
According to Daily Mail, Klopp could join the European Championship in Germany (June 14 to July 14) as a TV pundit this summer. Both BBC and ITV are reportedly vying for the star coach’s expertise.
It wouldn’t be a new experience for Klopp: the current Liverpool manager provided analysis for ZDF during the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Championship.
However, Klopp taking on such a role as soon as this summer seems highly unlikely. The star coach intends to take at least a year off before taking charge of a new club or national team.
Klopp to FC Barcelona?
Following Klopp’s announcement that he will be stepping down as Liverpool’s coach, there have been numerous rumors.
Among them, rumors have circulated about a potential move to Barcelona. The Spanish giants are on the hunt for a new coach since Xavi Hernandez announced his departure from the club this summer.
However, such a move seems unlikely. The German coach has explained that he needs a break, which is why he is leaving Liverpool after this season.
