Thomas Tuchel is set to part ways with Bayern Munich after this season, and it’s clear he’s looking for his next challenge.
He’s eyeing potential opportunities with Chelsea, Barcelona, or Manchester United. Of these, Tuchel is particularly keen on the Manchester United position, according to Sky Sports.
He’s hoping to take over at Old Trafford, if Sir Jim Ratcliffe decides it’s time for Erik ten Hag to go. This situation seems to be becoming more likely as time passes.
Should Manchester United look in a different direction, and Tuchel remains intent on finding a job in the Premier League, returning to Chelsea could be an option.
However, this would require Chelsea’s owner, Todd Boehly, to reconsider his previous decision and rehire Tuchel, who has already led the team to a Champions League victory but wasn’t fully supported by Boehly in the past.
Barcelona is also in the mix but hasn’t committed to any specific candidate to replace Xavi as manager. Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, might hesitate to choose Tuchel if he senses that the club isn’t Tuchel’s top choice.
While Tuchel is unlikely to be without a job for long, his current situation suggests he’s navigating a tricky and uncertain path in his career.
