The Premier League club is seeking reinforcements for the summer, and Ademola Lookman is among their potential options.
According to Soccernet.ng, Crystal Palace is considering signing Ademola Lookman, a forward for the Super Eagles, as part of their squad overhaul for the upcoming season.
Under the guidance of Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace has had a respectable season, currently positioned 14th in the English Premier League with 33 points from 32 matches.
With ambitions to improve next season, Palace plans to revitalize their lineup. However, their financial resources are more restricted compared to Europe’s top clubs, necessitating the potential sale of key players like Eberechi Eze or Michael Olise to boost their transfer budget.
The team has particularly struggled with their offensive lineup. Jordan Ayew, now in his sixth season, has made 30 Premier League appearances but might be leaving. Additionally, either Jean-Philippe Mateta or Odsonne Edouard might be sold.
The Palace Way reports that Lookman is currently on Crystal Palace’s recruitment list. The Nigerian attacker has excelled since joining Atalanta, contributing 13 goals and six assists last season, and adding eight goals and four assists in 25 Serie A appearances this season.
Lookman, valued at $30 million by Transfermarkt, would be a financially viable addition for Crystal Palace.
Given Lookman’s preference for the Premier League and his past experiences at Leicester City, Everton, and Fulham, securing him should be straightforward if Crystal Palace meets Atalanta’s asking price.
