After securing qualification for the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday night, Kylian Mbappe briefly spoke about his future at PSG.
In a few months, Kylian Mbappe is expected to no longer be a PSG player. With his contract ending, the Parisian striker is likely, barring any major surprises, to sign with Real Madrid.
Having been less effective since the internal announcement of his departure, the Frenchman found the back of the net again on Tuesday with a decisive double against FC Barcelona.
Asked after the match about his team’s victory, Kylian Mbappe stated that it had no impact on his future, and that he had made his decision regardless of what the future holds. He also emphasized his love for PSG.
“Is it going to change my future? No, no, no. I’ve been proud to be here from the first day. It’s not because there are good times and bad times that my pride is affected. The pride of playing for this club, representing the capital city’s club of my country, is something special for me who grew up here. Experiencing a night like this as a Parisian is great. We’ve moved one step further, but now, we need to stay calm,” Mbappe said to RMC.
He wants to win the Champions League with PSG
Until his departure next June, Kylian Mbappe will have the opportunity to leave a significant mark in PSG’s history. Only three matches remain before a potential victory, and a title that Parisian fans have been waiting for years.
Motivated by the idea of winning the Champions League with Paris, the French striker will do everything to realize his dream, as well as the dreams of all the club’s fans.
