PSG’s main target to replace Kylian Mbappé is Victor Osimhen, whose release clause at Napoli is set at over 120 million euros. However, the Parisians have an ace up their sleeve and are willing to offer players to reduce the Italian club’s financial demands.

Despite this season not being particularly outstanding for Victor Osimhen, both individually and collectively, the Nigerian striker has scored 14 goals and provided 4 assists in 26 matches.

Having missed many games due to the Africa Cup of Nations and an injury, the Napoli forward continues to prove he is one of the best attackers in the world.

In this regard, as Il Mattino has pointed out, the African’s future seems decided. Despite having recently renewed his contract, PSG appears ready to acquire his services to replace Kylian Mbappe, who will leave the team in the summer as a free agent to join Real Madrid.

PSG wants to lower the cost of the operation

Now, as the mentioned outlet reports, Paris is looking for ways to lower Osimhen’s price.

Thus, from Parc des Princes, they want to offer a package of two players to reduce Napoli’s financial expectations, which continues to refer to the striker’s release clause, set at 120 million euros.

PSG has proposed exchanging several players such as Marco Asensio, Kang-in Lee, Lucas Beraldo, or Carlos Soler to try to acquire the Nigerian at a more affordable price.

This is a strategy that Napoli itself used to obtain Osimhen from Lille, including players like Karnezis or Liguori to reduce the cost.

There have been countless rumors about Osimhen, who has been linked with a host of major European clubs. However, the Nigerian striker has not yet signed a new contract. Therefore, the rumors are likely to continue.
